01 / The setting
The roof at Herttoniemi metro station needed pollinator-friendly planting. The project required a site-specific solution with Forum Virium Helsinki and HSL.
02 / What we did
We installed meadow planters and an irrigation solution. Planting and structures were adapted to a location where planting directly in the ground was not an option.
03 / Impact
The roof became a flowering habitat for pollinators. Before and installation photos show how the surface was transformed into a place for urban nature.
